As a teacher and parent, I think it is important to know about holidays, within your culture as well as others.

The first Chanukah candle was November 27th, Chanukah came early this year.
Chanukah- November 28-December 5th
Tu B' Shevat- January 16th
Purim Night- March 15th
First Passover Seder- April 14th
Passover- April 15-22
Shavuot- June 4-5
Tisha B' Av- August 5th
Rosh Hashanah - September 25-26
Kol Nidre- October 3
Yom Kippur- October 4
