It has been raining here in the San Francisco Bay Area and mud is everywhere!
When I was little, I used to love to make mud pies and serve it to my parents and older brothers on tin pans! Nowadays, there are more children than ever before who are tactile defensive, and I highly recommend after this pandemic and being stuck inside, have children get outside and get their hands dirty! Here are some books to help parents and teachers get those little (or big) hands dirty!
1. Mud Pies and other Recipes by Marjorie Wilson
2. Mud Book- How to Make Pies and Cakes by John Cage and Lois Long Mud book
3. Mud Pies and Other Recipes- A cookbook for Dolls by Marjorie Wilson Mud pies and other recipes a cookbook for dolls
This book is a classic and is my favorite! Whether you are entertaining garden sprites or feeding a regiment of toy soldiers or simply whiling away a lazy afternoon, Mud Pies and Other Recipes is the only make believe cookbook you’ll ever need.
