 My son and I saw Shakespeare Twelfth Night opening night last night at the California Stage  Theater in Sacramento, CA. I highly recommend it!

 I have a green Subaru Outback and I love ❤️ it!  I used to love Hondas, but switched to Subaru as I really wanted 4 wheel drive and a wagon.  I didn’t want an SUV since I had those and it always felt like driving a boat!  A sedan is just too small for all my teaching stuff and weekend and summer adventures!  I am at Serramonte Subaru right now getting my regular service and they are open Saturdays!  I got to my 1:00pm appointment at 1:40 and all I got was a friendly smile!  Plus, all my service is included so I won’t have to pay a dime today!  This is good because I have used my credit card already too much this month on school supplies!  They are even going to wash my 🧽 car today so one less thing on my to do list!  My service advisor, today, Joe was really helpful too!  Thank you, Subaru for making one part of my life easier!

Handwriting in shaving cream

 I have been having my students do this for years!  I buy simple shaving cream, put it on the desks, usually Fridays as it is a wonderful way to clean desks!  The students are given words and letters to practice and some things to draw.  Believe it or not, I haven’t had a student throw the shaving cream at me or another student yet!  It just feels so darn good, I think, to have the sensory experience!  It is also a wonderful sensory tool!

Making fake snow ⛄️ Is so easy!

I made fake snow and it was so easy!  The recipe I used only called for baking soda and hair conditioner.  I brought some little items for the scene such as little trees and animals and the students absolutely loved the experience!  Plus, it smelled so good!  It is also a wonderful sensory tool, and it is so much cheaper than kinetic sand!

 I love the kinetic sand at Lakeshore Learning in Walnut Creek, CA.  I use it in my classroom as a relaxing time for students while I am reading a difficult chapter book like Charlotte’s Web.  Also, it is a wonderful way for students to relax after a difficult emotional experience.
