FACT: The MMR vaccine does not contain the preservative thimerosal, which contains mercury

The MMR vaccine does not contain thimerosol, which is used as a preservative in certain vaccines.  The fact is that thimerosal does contain mercury, which is thought of as a neuro-toxin.  Again, the MMR vaccine doesn't contain thimerosal.  The MMR is a live virus vaccine and thimerosol would actually kill the virus.

Within my classes, parents have expressed fear over MMR vaccine containing thimerosol, I recommend parents talk with their doctor to see the ingredient lists of MMR vaccine to confirm this fact.
