I got my son a small campfire shaped nightlight for traveling. It doesn't need to be plugged in, as it has batteries. It is good for traveling in a hotel or tent, my son keeps it in his rolling backpack. Sometimes, when we used to stay in hotels, he'd want to keep the light on and it was too bright too sleep.
