Where to go for spring snow near the East Bay, California - Emigrant Gap

We went to see the snow a few days ago and made it to Emigrant Gap.  We got a sled at the gas station at the Nyack exit, plus some treats!  This was an easy place to play in the snow, we sledded and made a snowman with some other families.  It was a blast!  It reminded me of the easy snow fun growing up in Michigan, and it was free.
