Posture-
*Foot rest
*Wedge cushion
*Slant Board (or 3 inch binder)
*Alternative seating (arm rests, t-stool, bean bag, rocking chair, carpet square)
Handwriting-
Fine Motor
*Pencil grips
* Raised and/or 3 -line paper
*Hand strengthening activities
*Use shortened pencils or crayons
Visual Motor
*Highlight margins or lines
*Use 3 lined paper
*Use and index card or blank paper to keep their place when reading or writing
*Cut a window in a file holder so the student can only see what they are working on
*Use graph paper to align math problems
*Provide a letter or number strip
*Provide the student a model if they have trouble copying from the board
*Shorten assignments
*Preferential seating
Self Help:
*Attach pulls to zippers
*Toileting schedule
*Visual cues or PECS (Picture Schedule) for dressing or other self care tasks
*Velcro or elastic show laces
*Adapted utensils
