Sensory Processing/Attention-
*Weighted/ compression vest
*Lap buddy
*Hand or oral fidgets
*Time timer
*Minimize visual distractions (dividers)
*Movement breaks (messenger, toe touches, arm circles, etc.)
*Heavy work activities
*Make line leader or caboose
*Seat cushion
*Concise directions with visual cues
*DO NOT punish by removing recess! Consider adding cleaning/heavy work duties instead.
*Allow students to wear gloves during art/ messy activities
Cutting-
*Adapted scissors
*Use thick paper
*Use other hand (helper hand) to manipulate paper
*Check for "thumbs up" position
*Check for good fit, thumb in smaller hole
